Our Programs & Classes
Students and enthusiasts of Wushu/Kung Fu have many reasons for their interest
in this and other martial art styles. Some are drawn to the physical fitness
and weight-loss aspects of training. Others seek to add discipline and self
control to their lives. While still others are concerned about safety and
self-defense.
Whether you are interested in our programs for mental or physical well being,
The Po Chi Lam Training Center, Inc. offers a number of programs that will fit
your developmental needs and your busy schedule as well.
Youth Kung Fu - For Ages 6 to 12
Our Youth classes are very high energy and full of excitement and fun.
Your child will learn practical self defense techniques while building
coordination and physical fitness. Your child will gain more confidence and
ability in other sports, develop good work and study habits, have an increased
attention span, which are all benefits he or she can apply in school, at home,
or with his or her friends.
Adult Kung Fu - Ages 13 and Up
Our Adult Class is structured to provide you with a well rounded martial arts
training program. This consists of stretching and conditioning exercises,
kicking techniques, fighting forms, Chinese weaponry, self defense, bag drills,
and sparring. You'll develop a broader understanding of Chinese philosophy,
fighting theory and application, and self discipline. Each class emphasizes
different aspects of our training program to ensure you get the most out of
your martial arts training.
Fitness Kickboxing - Ages 13 and Up
Our fitness program is for each member of your family. Our instructors are
certified in fitness, martial arts, Fitness Kickboxing, and group/personal
training. Getting in shape does not require long hours of boring exercises.
This fast-paced, high energy class will help you burn 500 to 800 calories in a
one hour workout.
